Worship & Discipleship Coordinator

Welcome, AJ Thumberger, our new Worship & Discipleship Coordinator!  We are thrilled to have AJ join the KCC team and look forward to what God has in store.

AJ was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the small town of Hancock, however he has spent most of his life living in central Minnesota.

AJ has always attended church no matter where he has lived even though he has moved 4 times in the last 4 years. He is looking forward to settling into a long term Church home at Kimball, serving the Lord each day through his passions of music and helping other people.

AJ has been involved in worship ministry for almost 8 years and has led many different teams along the way. There is no instrument that he will shy away from playing, although the piano will always be his favorite to play!  Other hobbies that he takes part in include cooking, hiking, painting, and visiting new places with his girlfriend Lexy!

Upcoming Series: "Is Jesus' Agenda on Your Agenda?"

As we continue our exploration of the 4 Gospels (the biographies of Jesus), we're about to watch Jesus launch his public ministry. This is where he presents his "inaugural address," so to speak, and where he reveals what he came to do. The question is, does our agenda line up with his?

We encourage you to read the Scriptures ahead of time to get more out of each Sunday's message; then follow up by using the Study Guides, available on the church website.

April 27 - John 5:1-15

May 4 - John 5:16-30

May 11 - John 5:31-47

May 18 - Luke 4:14-30

May 25 - Matthew 4:12-22; Mark 1:14-20; Luke 5:1-11

Ladies’ Fellowship & Bible Study

Join your sisters-in-Christ in taking a deeper look at twelve women who were ordinary, common, and in some cases even ostracized and rejected by society, yet each was made extraordinary by her life-changing encounter with God.  In Twelve Extraordinary Women, bestselling author and Bible teacher John MacArthur shows you that the God to whom they were so faithful is the same God who continues to mold and guide you today.

Ladies’ Fellowship will continue with this new study beginning May 2.  We will meet in KCC room 140 on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 9:30 - 11:00 am for the summer months.

Please call the church office (320-398-3660) or email Kate Simon (kate.simon@kimballchristian.church)  to join and order a book.

Promotion Sunday

We will be celebrating our Sunday school students on May 18th! As a family, you celebrate special milestones like birthdays and anniversaries. At KCC, we’re a family, too!  The youngest members of our family need to know they are appreciated and encouraged in their walk with Jesus. To this end, we will recognize that they are growing and moving on to new class levels between the first and second service on May 18th.  Please plan to join us in the sanctuary for a brief presentation of Bibles, words of encouragement, and prayer for our students before we head to the last day of Sunday school for the quarter.

God loves us and wants to hear from us.  He values our prayers and is for us as we seek Him and walk with Him to grow in the gift of prayer.  Check out this link for a short article with some tips to strengthen your prayer life.
